Apple Watch Series 5 Nike+GPS Only, 44mm, Space Gray Aluminum, Anthracite Black

The Apple Watch Series 5 models look nearly identical to the Apple Watch Series 4 that they replaced, but they have a newer processor, at least twice the storage capacity, an “Always-On” Retina Display, a compass, and an International Emergency Calling feature.

This particular model, the Apple Watch Series 5 (Nike+, GPS, 44 mm) does?not?have wireless cellular capability, but higher-end models in the series also are capable of being connected to the Internet without a “tethered” iPhone. This “GPS” model is required to be connected to an iPhone 6s or later running iOS 13 or later.

All Apple Watch Series 5 devices are controlled with a Digital Crown with haptic feedback and a Force Touch capable display. This particular Apple Watch Series 5, the Nike+ GPS model in the 40 mm size, features a 368×448 LTPO OLED screen with Ion-X glass packed in an aluminum case with a ceramic and sapphire crystal back that connects to the charger.

Battery life is an Apple estimated “up to 18 hours” overall, but more specifically “up to 1.5 hours” of talk time connected to an iPhone, “up to 10 hours” of audio playback from Apple Watch storage, “up to 10 hours” working out indoors and “up to 6 hours” working out outdoors with GPS.

There formally are two default options — a silver aluminum housing with a “Pure Platinum/Black” Sport Band or a dark “Space Gray” aluminum housing with an “Anthracite/Black” Sport Band. However, Apple highlights ten aluminum options on their website — a Silver housing with a blue “Royal Pulse/Black” Nike Sport Band (pictured, left), “Pure Platinum/Black” Nike Sport Band, “Royal Pulse/Lava Glow” Nike Sport Loop (pictured, right), “Pink Blast/True Berry” Nike Sport Loop, “Desert Sand/Volt” Nike Sport Loop or “Summit White” Nike Sport Loop; or a Space Gray housing with a beige “Desert Sand/Black” Nike Sport Band (pictured, left), “Black/Pink Blast” Nike Sport Band, “Anthracite/Black” Nike Sport Band, or Black Nike Sport Loop. Other watch bands are available via customization, as well.
